Recaptcha v3 enterprise keeps disconnecting

Hi, I’ve been using Gravity Forms for probably about 10 years. I have a simple form (just name and email) on a new site I’m building, and connected it to recaptcha v3 enterprise. It’s working and form submissions have a recaptcha score and everything.

But after about a day, I get a bunch of spam, and I discover the score now says “disconnected.”

I go back to the settings and reconnect again (involves the screen choosing my Google account, then logging in). The Google screen at this point will tell me that Gravity Forms is already connected to 1 service on my account, and if I want to do this again. I click yes. Everything works again. I didn’t have to choose my project or website again from my recaptcha APIs this time.

Everything’s good again, until about a day later and it’s disconnected again. This has been happening for about a week now of me reconnecting and trying to figure out what’s going wrong, but I don’t know what’s causing this. Hoping someone here can help?

That was an issue with v1.7 of the add-on. It was fixed in v1.8, although if the add-on has already become disconnected before the update is installed, you would need to manually reconnect once more.

Relevant entries from the 1.8 changelog:

  • Fixed an issue where multiple Enterprise API auth token refresh requests can occur when the site has multiple concurrent visitors, causing the add-on to become disconnected.
  • Fixed an issue where the Enterprise API can be initialised multiple times during the same request.

Thanks! I just did a bulk plugins update this morning. I don’t remember if the addon was part of that update (as in, was I using 1.7 before?), but I do see I’m on 1.8 right now. So I’ll keep an eye on it and hope this fixes it! Thank you!

Hi, it’s happened again! I had a good run for about 36 hours or so, and it’s disconnected again.

I’m on GF 2.9.13, and Recaptcha Add-on 1.8.0.

After the upgrade a couple of days ago, I disconnected and reconnected my account. It did stay connected for longer than before but this morning it’s disconnected again. Any other ideas to try? I can help provide logs or diagnostic info if you tell me where to look. Thank you!
