Feature Request: Ensure GP Bookings is Compatible with GTranslate

Hi Team,

Many websites, like ours, use GTranslate (language translator) for foreign customers or visitors.

From our experience using GTranslate and gAppointments (booking calendar), many calendar strings or number fields are not properly translated out-of-the-box without performing substantial backend code changes.

Based on the above, is this something you guys could kindly look into? The added feature would benefit websites that offer booking services that cater to prospects and customers worldwide (e.g., Counseling, Consulting, Hotel Reservations, Restaurant Reservations, Vacation Rentals, etc.).

Thank you!

Hey Jonathan,

This is absolutely something that we can and already do look into!

We see plenty of multilingual sites, and in the wild, we’ve already seen some booking setups have great success with both Loco Translate and WPML.

If GTranslate is not 100% compatible yet, then we would be happy to dig in further, as improving translations is something we definitely want to support. If you currently have live examples of broken strings, we’re all ears.

Finally, to provide those examples and to ensure that GP Bookings related feature requests are captured properly, please reach out to us directly using our Support form, here!

Hey J.,

Glad you guys are keeping multilingual sites in mind for GP Bookings.

Since we don’t use GP Bookings (yet), you can easily test the compatibility of GP Bookings with GTranslate on one of your test sites.

Looking forward to the compatibility. It will help many customers!

Jonathan
