Poll: Appointment Booking Calendar for Gravity Forms

Dear Community:

We submitted a feature request to Team Gravity Forms several years ago (again today) asking for an Appointment Booking Calendar addon or plugin for Gravity Forms. One developed by Team Gravity Forms, not a third-party addon or plugin.

Our team has tested most third-party plugins, and have learned they do not offer what true Gravity Forms users need. Our tests revealed the following:

  1. They are not fully compatible with Gravity Forms. Filters, custom code, and CSS have to be injected into the third-party plugins to make them work well.
  2. Many have not been updated for months, even years (e.g., gAppointments).
  3. They do not offer all of the features Gravity Forms users need (e.g., a time zone auto-detect or selector for visitors, an interface that matches or is close to Gravity Forms’, multiple appointment capabilities for a single booker, ability to book appointments with most popular calendars, ability to set up meetings online via popular platforms, etc.)
  4. They are not keeping up with WordPress, JS, and PHP library updates or revisions.
  5. Customer support is lacking (e.g., some plugins developed and supported by a single individual leading to untimely support).
  6. The backend UI is not user-friendly (e.g., complicated-looking, too many upsells, too many graphics and logos, too many API calls, etc.)

Base on the above, thought I’d take a simple poll within this community to help understand your related needs.

If you agree with the above, and would like Team Gravity Forms to release an Appointment Booking Calendar addon or plugin, all you have to do is “Like” this post (i.e., click the “heart”).

Thank you for reading and your support!

Jonathan

Hi Jonathan! I wanted to let you know that we just released beta 1 of GP Bookings. It turns Gravity Forms into a complete booking platform.

With regard to your requirements above, it lets you…

  • Drop a “Booking Field” right into your form like any other field. Feels native to Gravity Forms.

  • Show a timezone indicator when someone’s browser timezone doesn’t match the booking timezone.

  • Connect a Quantity field to let people book multiple slots at once.

  • Sync bookings both ways with Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, and others.

  • Handle availability, view calendars (day/week/month view), and manage cancellations or reschedules from a dashboard right inside WordPress.

This article gives you a good overview of GP Bookings: https://gravitywiz.com/gp-bookings-beta-1/

Or check the docs if you want the full picture: https://gravitywiz.com/documentation/gravity-forms-bookings/

If you wanna see it in action, I also wrote a guide showing how GP Bookings handles booking pains for hotels. You can read it here: https://gravitywiz.com/gravity-forms-hotel-booking-platform/

Hope you check it out!

Thanks, Dan! That is awesome.

To your surprise (or not), I have already submitted feedback to Dani about your plugin. Still waiting for her reply to my latest feedback. Can you assist?

Keep up the great work!

Jonathan
