Failed Payments via Stripe Add on

Recently spent 2 days researching why multiple entries with failed payment transactions were appearing alongside entries with authorized payments when I saw this message in Dashboard. Then I discovered this is being touted as a feature?

Note: It’s usually 3-5 separate entries PER USER upon failed payment. Why? When a user sees that payment failed, they hit submit again. And again.. and Again… Creating a new entry each time. Each with a “thank you for your order” email being generated each time.

This has cost us time and money and embarrassment as we have scrambled to contact users and explain that our system let them apply successfully without payment. It’s also created a TON of work within our user portal which previously displayed successful orders only.

I’m the biggest GF fanboy I know, but the fact that this was enabled without our consent and without the ability to toggle off is mystifying. Would a restaurant want failed payment orders alongside valid orders?

We’ve used GF for 9 years without problems. Personally, I’ve used it for over 13 years. You’re better than this.

Please provide a way to toggle off or opt out. Thank you.
