We have seen a sudden spike in CPU usage on a website and the error is occuring on home page entry to the site. If we disable Gravity Forms and its plugins the spike immediately goes away. If we re-activate it we get the same problem. WordPress and GF are all up to date. This began on 14th October and has remained since. The server is maxing out on CPU. There are only 4 websites on the server. No other errors are apparent. The error log shows:
[Fri Oct 17 17:01:23.751177 2025] [:error] [pid 112554:tid 112568] [client 172.225.245.101:60459] Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 300+2 seconds exceeded (terminated) in /home/XXXXXX/public_html/wp-content/plugins/gravityforms/includes/libraries/class-dom-parser.php on line 248 Here is the resource chart (last 4 hours) for the website showing GF deactivated at 3:25PM and re-activated at 5:03PM
