Unusual spike in CPU usage by MySQL

I am reaching out to report a significant issue we are experiencing with Gravity Forms on our WordPress site which is affecting our production environment. We have observed an unusual spike in CPU usage by MySQL, reaching up to 2,3 GB, which seems to be related to specific Gravity Forms SQL queries.

Upon inspecting the MySQL process list during a CPU spike usage, we have identified that there are Gravity Forms SQL queries that have been running for an extended period (over several hours). Here is an example of one such query:
Command: Query
Time: 2249549
State: Sending data
Info: SELECT SQL_CALC_FOUND_ROWS DISTINCT t1.id FROM cobs_gf_entry AS t1 LEFT JOIN `cobs_gf_entry_ …
Progress: 0.000

These long-running queries are causing significant performance issues on our platform.
Could you please suggest any potential solutions to this issue?

For reference, we are currently using WordPress version 6.5.2 and Gravity Forms version 2.8.8.

Thank you for your assistance.
