Acquisition Data/, Traffic Source/, Referral Source on Form Submission

Hi All,

Forgive me if this has been answered but no amount of Googling came up with a solid answer. (maybe i’m googling the wrong thing?)

What is the best way to see where the goal completion came from? e.g. it would be great if at the bottom of the form if it had traffic originated from organic, Google paid or Facebook sources.

This data is in google analytics yes, but it would be awesome if I could see the source that the lead came from.

Thanks in advance.

This is not currently a feature of Gravity Forms. There is an add-on which may help:

We are also planning on incorporating this feature into a future release of Gravity Forms. Thank you.

This might work … https://measureschool.com/resource/source-cookie-template/
Testing it, but seems promising.

Thanks for the update.

Hey Mark

Did you ever solve this?

This is something I was wanting as well, basically to be able to see in Gravity Forms where the lead came from and then (in my case) pass it over to my CRM so I can run reports in there.

As you’ve probably learned, it doesn’t exist so I built something for myself. I’ve been using it for a few years for my clients (I run a marketing agency) but have recently decided to turn it into a product.

It’s called Attributer.io and basically it looks at how people got to your site and then categorises the visit into Channels (I.e. Organic Search, Paid Search, Organic Social, etc). Then when someone completes a Gravity Forms form on your page, it writes the attribution information to hidden fields on the form.

Once the form is submitted, you then have the leads details (name, email, company, etc) as well as the source information (I.e. That it came from Organic Search, or from Social Media, etc).

Check it out at Attributer.io and feel free to signup for a free trial or reach out to me if you have any questions.
