If I try to exclude the pages with conditional forms the forms still do not load. I currently have the optimiser switched off and conditional forms are working BUT other pages not being optimised.
Its a work around but an urgent solution required from GF. Everything was fine till latest update.
So the last update I got from GF support, which I suspect will be the last update on the ticket, was basically saying that we shouldn’t have caching enabled on any page with dynamic content like a form on it. It’s “a very old practice”. So despite the fact that the caching setup in place hasn’t impacted any other plugins, we need to stop caching pages with GF running on them. Or, stop using GF, which is likely what we’ll do next.
We use WP Fastest Cache. Our main onboarding form disappeared after a GF update today.
Disabling WP Fastest Cache and re-enabling it did the trick.
Without you guys accusing caching plugins I would never have suspected caching.
So thanks for pointing us in the right direction !
With any updates for ANY plugin, you should always be emptying your cache to clear out the old compiled byte-code or cached resources with the new ones provided with the plugin.
I’ve also had problems with conditional fields showing up (amongst other things) since the upgrade. I just did the following to an important client form and this worked, so I’m sharing in the hopes of helping others. By the way no cache on system.
I had a particular conditional field that I had to get working with many conditions in it. What I did was delete all of the conditions, save the form, and then re-added the conditions exactly like they had been prior to deleting. It worked for me - a pain but well worth it in my case.
I have this issue without any caching enabled on the site, and it’s not even consistent. Some logic works, some doesn’t. I guess I’ll try Tony’s workaround first. Sounds like someone here had luck with a support ticket as well.
If you’d rather create a new topic in these forums, please feel free to do that instead. These are not support forums, but the discussion may reveal some issue that other users have experience with. Thank you.
