What you are asking for sounds quite similar to the Gravity Flow status page which can also be a block for display on the front-end.
What kind of information about the specific form are you looking for? If there needs to be a workflow associated (for other staff to complete approval steps or user input steps) to track progress, you’ll find a lot to love in Gravity Flow.
