Possible to make nested form field required?

Have a couple nested forms that work beautifully inside a form, but unlike other fields, there doesn’t seem to be an option to make it required. Fields inside child form are marked required, but users are able to skip the nested form field entirely upon submission.

Any recommendations or workarounds appreciated.
