We’re using GF version 2.4.24, and tried updating to 2.8.4, but nearly all of our placeholder text disappeared, so we had to roll back. (Strangely, only the EMAIL form field still had placeholder text. The rest went blank.) I can see the placeholder text in the page code, but it’s not visible on the page.
We’re also unable to hide labels using the plugin–we have to manually hide them with CSS.
UPDATE: I can inspect the placeholder and there is “display:none!important” applied to it–but it’s not in our stylesheet or any of our theme files. The only place in the entire wp-content directory that contains styles for “placeholder” is the Gravity Forms plugin JS folder.
Not sure why the plugin isn’t working as expected for us. Have you seen this? Any suggestions?
