Multiple image choice show selected images in notification to clients email

I’d like to show the images for the selected image choice. Is there any idea for this? Currently, the notifications just show the text.
i’ve tried to use it like this

<img src="{Marketing Materials Request (Sample Products):77.2:img_url}" />
<img src="{Marketing Materials Request (Test Drive):77.3}" />

the problem is when the image is empty, it’s will show like and look weired in the client’s mail box.
