I’m trying to convert a paper form that includes something like: “I, _______ agree to” and I can’t see a built in field that inserts the field inline between text. Does anyone know the best way to go about this? If I insert html and create a custom field in the html, will it show up in the Forms backend?

Hi Shannon. Creating a field and adding it to an HTML field will not work. That won’t be stored in the entry.
Gravity Forms does not have this capability out of the box, but we used to have a demo online that showcased it. It was called a “Madlib Form.” It’s no longer on our site, and the code is old, so the CSS won’t work with the latest markup, but you can see the approach we took here:
