Gravity Forms 2.9.21 introduces a new Submission Speed Check feature that works in conjunction with the anti-spam Honeypot to catch bots that submit forms too quickly.
Quick Setup:
- Enable “Honeypot” in your Form Settings in the “Spam Detection” section
- Toggle on “Submission Speed Check”
- Set your threshold (in milliseconds)
- Set the mode (normal or strict)
This adds an extra layer of anti-spam protection by detecting submissions that happen faster than humanly possible. Refer to the blog post for more details and the documentation for additional information on threshold and mode settings.
