Really need to hide gform_next_ and/or gform_submit_ buttons after click with AJAX enabled

Hello,

It’s a true PITA : I need a way to hide the gform_next_ and/or gform_submit_ buttons after click, but WITH ajax enabled. I’m using heartbeat saving and not hiding the next/submit button results in duplicates despite using the Gravity Forms Duplicate Prevention plugin.

I’ve tried numerous snippets but none worked : either it breaks the “loader gif” display, or it breaks the entire submission process.

I’m using a configurable 1 or 2 steps form so I need a way to hide after click, either the next or the submit button.

Anyone found a real solution to this? It’s been asked many many times in the past years to the GF team but I haven’t yet seen any official way to do this.
