Our website rotisserieaffair dot com uses Gravity Forms Version 2.1.3 that was installed by the original website builder. It has worked well for years.
Suddenly when the notification email is set to catering@rotissereiaffair.com we do not get email from any Gmail accounts but works perfectly for emails from any other domains.
Likewise if we change the notifications to anythingelse@rotisserieaffair.com it also works fine.
Catering@ also received email from Gmail accounts when emailed directly.
So the problem is clearly with Gravity forms.
Rather than spending hours trying to fault find we were wondering if upgrading to the Basic version would solve this issue?
Hi Fred. Upgrading will not help. The email from your site needs to be sent from an email address at your website domain @rotisserieaffair.com. That’s the proper setup. You can’t send email to yourself from a gmail address. You’re not Google, and most mail servers will not deliver that email for you.
If you want to respond to those customers via email when you receive notifications, set the “Reply to” address to the email address they submitted in the form.
Please see the article here for the correct setup:
We already have the email address @rotisserieaffair.com and all works fine (and has been for years) when we use any address @rotisserieaffair.com except our main website email address which is catering@. For now I have just created an alias catering@ it and used that as a workaround. Just scratching my head to work why only catering@ has this problem only with gmail accounts but none of the other @rotisserieaffair.com addresses have the issue.
