I’m attempting to create a new form where I collect some basic information on the front end (ie: name & email - part 1), and then after they submit this form, I want to take users to another page (part 2) where they are asked for additional information via more questions using GF. I want to ensure I always collect the part 1 information regardless if they submit part 2 information. Additionally, I need to ensure the part 2 information submitted is joined and connected to the contact’s information from part 1.
Using Gravity Forms built-in features the only way to achieve something like that would be following the instructions in this tutorial: Populating a Form Based On Another Submission | Gravity Forms
There’s also a third-party add-on created by one of our certified developers that could make these things easier: Gravity Forms Easy Passthrough | Gravity Perks by Gravity Wiz
Hi Jacob,
This looks like a perfect use case for our GP Easy Passthrough Perk. The perk allows transferring form entry data from one form to another form, so even if the user doesn’t submit the second form, the entry of the first form would be available. Also, when the second form is submitted, it will contain both the values of the first and second forms. Here’s a tutorial documentation on how to set it up.
Best,
