Low captcha score still sending

I have a form that has Google ReCaptcha v3 spam protection on it. Just recently, we had our server email disabled because someone started spamming the form resulting in hundreds of emails being sent. When checking the form, the captcha score is very low, meaning it identified it as spam, but the emails still sent.

I though the low captcha score would prevent the email from being sent. Is that not correct?

If not, how can we prevent low scores from being sent?

What was the score, and what threshold do you have set in the add-on settings?

The score was 0.1 and the threshold is set at 0.6

Was the entry marked as spam? Out of the box, notifications are not sent when the entry is marked as spam, and based on that score and threshold it should have been.

If the theme or another plugin is using the gform_entry_is_spam filter incorrectly, they could have changed the spam status.

What do you mean marked as spam? Do you mean was the email that was sent marked as spam? If so, then no. There was no indication that the email was spam as it came through just fine and didn’t have any kind of [spam] modifier in the title or anywhere else. If you mean something else, let me know. All I can see is that the reCaptcha score is low.

There are filter links located at the top of the entries list page, one of them displays entries that have been marked as spam.
