Is Akismet Licence included in the cost?

A quick dumb presale question.

Is the Akismet licence included in the cost of a Basic Gravity licence?

I’ve used Gravity forms before on another Wordpress site, and want to setup a basic contact form on my friend’s site. We know how good the Akismet filtering is and wonder if we only pay the Gravity licence or have to pay a fee to both Gravity and Akismet?

Licenses for third-party services, like Akismet, are not included with the Gravity Forms license.

Thanks for the quick reply. So to use Gravity Form and have Akismet filter it I need to pay both the $59pa basic licence for Gravity and $9.99pcm for Akismet.

Okay… think I need to go back to the drawing board a bit on this one. Bit pricey for my Aunt’s little hobby site.

Hi there,
The free version of Akismet should work fine. I use it on my personal website, and it’s handling all the spam under the free license. First, try out the free license, and if you find it’s not enough, then upgrade to the paid plan.

I can’t really use the free service. Technically my Aunt is a “commercial” service as she uses the site to advertise an upholstery service. We are not talking mega-bucks turnover, more of a hobby thing. But as I understand it that is enough to be classed as outside the free bracket.
