I am trying to use the Gravity Forms Advanced Post Creation Add-On to post a reply to BBPress. It works, but I don’t know how to assign it to a specific forum and topic?
Has anyone done this before?
Hi Connie, I will leave this open in case anyone has done this and can share first hand experience.
But in general, when using the Advanced Post Creation Add-On to create content in other systems (be that WooCommerce or bbPress or an events calendar) you will need to determine where that other system (bbPress) stores the information, and make the Advanced Post Creation Add-On do the same thing (store the same information in the same format in the same locations.) The simplest way to do this is to create a reply with bbPress and look in the database to see where everything went (post meta or posts table or custom tables) and then have your form submission using the Advanced Post Creation Add-On do the same thing. That is how I would approach it in general.
