Gravity form with Chained Select not saving

I am using a Gravity form and have added a Chained Select field to the form that is filled from the csv file. If I upload a small csv under 300 kb the form saves with a second or two and works. If I upload anything larger, the chained select takes the file. If the save pushes more then about 4/5 seconds to save the save errors out with a generic error message.

I have tried to look for logs and there is nothing useful. I have checked my wordpress site and gravity forms settings. The upload and timeout settings setting are high enough. What else am I missing or can check?
