DELETE button is confusing! [RESOLVED]

Apparently, I’m not the first to point this out, but since red is synonymous with “error”, perhaps adding a RED X next to files isn’t the clearest way to communicate a successful upload?

So, adding my name to the list - god knows how many users I’ve had abandon forms because they think they got an error uploaded docs and images.

SUGGESTIONS:

  1. Instead of a red x, how about a trash icon (grey will do)?
  2. Add “upload successful” in green
  3. Keep the red x, but add a green check FIRST, followed by the filename

Yes, I realize there are ways to change the way this done. For example, I found this link:

BUT why not improve the core plugin for what appears to be an obviously confusing file upload process?

Thanks

Your form must be using the legacy markup. If you disable legacy markup on the Form Settings page of the form in question, the field will use the latest markup, which uses a trash/delete icon instead of the red x.
