Defer recapsha script or host locally to improve site performance

Hi All
I’m noticing the recapsha add-on is slowing down my site by render blocking for up to 1 second, (my host does render blocking but only for local js not external) is there any way to defer loading or have the option to host it locally?

Yes, there is. Use the method (i.e., code snippet) provided here.

You can also defer and delay the corresponding JS file using the plugin, Perfmatters, as noted here and here. Our team uses it. Well worth it.
