Using Gravity Forms and Gravity Forms Mailchimp Add-on.
Map fields include:
Email Address, Address, First Name, Last Name and Phone Number.
All fields push through to Mailchimp except for the Address field. I have completed six tests with the same result.
Any ideas what the issue could be or how to fix this?
Thanks ina dvance.
Hello @alderinos,
Thank you for reaching out to the Gravity Forms support forum. Let’s troubleshoot and resolve this issue together.
Creating a feed and mapping are key in this entire process. Here, you can find a step-by-step guide. Please double-check if everything is okay based on this article.
Other Troubleshooting Steps
- Verify Field Mapping in Gravity Forms:
Double-check your field mappings in the Gravity Forms Mailchimp Add-On settings. Ensure that the Address field in your Gravity Forms is correctly mapped to the corresponding address field in Mailchimp.
- Check Mailchimp Field Setup:
Ensure that the address field in your Mailchimp audience is correctly set up and that it matches the field type expected by Gravity Forms. Mailchimp expects the address field to be a single field that includes street address, city, state, postal code, and country.
- Field Format:
Ensure that the address field in Gravity Forms is using the correct format that Mailchimp expects. The address in Gravity Forms should be a single field of type “Address” rather than separate fields for street, city, etc.
- Mailchimp Merge Tags:
Verify that the merge tags in Mailchimp are correctly configured. Go to your Mailchimp audience settings and check the merge tags associated with your fields. Ensure the address merge tag matches the one Gravity Forms is using.
-
Error Logs:
Check the error logs in both Gravity Forms and Mailchimp. Gravity Forms logs can provide insight into any issues encountered during the submission process. To enable logging in Gravity Forms:
- Go to
Forms > Settings > Logging
. - Enable logging and set it to log Mailchimp entries.
- Submit a test entry and check the logs for any errors related to the address field.
- Go to
Address Field Mapping Example
Here’s an example of how the address field should be configured:
-
Gravity Forms Address Field:
Make sure it is a single “Address” field type.
-
Mailchimp Mapping:
In the Gravity Forms Mailchimp Add-On settings, map the Gravity Forms Address field to the Mailchimp Address field.
Let me know how this works.

Hi Akramul,
Checked all of these.
Narrowed down the problem.
We only want the postcode, not the full address.
I’ve tested various options with the mapping. It will only work if I select Address (Full Address) in the Map fields and the form has to have the street address and suburb.
Any way to just get the postcode?
Thanks in advance.

SHARON ALDER
Hi Sharon,
Thank you for your follow-up message.
To capture only the postal code, you can use a single text field instead of the Address field in your form. Here’s how you can achieve this:
-
Add a Text Field for Postal Code:
In your Gravity Form, add a new text field and label it as “Postal Code”.
-
Map the Text Field to Mailchimp:
In the Gravity Forms Mailchimp Add-On settings, map this new “Postal Code” text field to the corresponding field in Mailchimp.
By using a single text field for the postal code, you can bypass the requirement to use the full address, allowing you to collect and send only the postal code to Mailchimp.
If you need further assistance with setting this up, please let me know!
Best regards,
