Activation Link redirect

Hi

We are using the User Registration add-on and have gone through registering a user successfully. The problem we are running into is, first of all, the user receives more than one activation link in the email, which looks like this -

gfur_activation=2420c35c1dbd7270)

and second, the activation link directs them to a frozen page on the website with the message - Your account is now active!
Username: balblabla@gmail.com
Password: set at registration

This page is not interactive and seems to be conflicting with the WooCommerce cart feature. We are desperate in finding a solution and would appreciate any support.
