Since my last update Image Hopper 2.1 and 2.2 have been released and both updates are packed full of outstanding features.
2.1
- Image Hopper images can now be offloaded to Dropbox using Gravity Forms Dropbox add-on
- Enhanced Zapier support so it’s easier than over to pass your image URLs to other services
- Image Hopper has been translated to Chinese (simple), Russian, and Hebrew
2.2
- A new Redact image editor feature has been included so you can easily hide sensitive information in images you are uploaded
- Apple iOS HEIC image format will be automatically converted to JPEG on upload so it can be viewed by anyone
- Gravity Forms User Registration add-on is now fully supported so Image Hopper fields are correctly auto-populated with the linked user meta data (when using the Update User feed) and then saved back to the user meta field upon saving. So you can utilise this feature to set a user’s avatar, we have native support for the Simple Local Avatars, WP User Avatars, and Basic User Avatars plugins.
I personally love the new redact feature in the editor. It’s simple to use, and something that works really well when you are using Image Hopper in a help desk-type environment. The HEIC support is a close second, as it means your iPhone users don’t need to do anything special when uploading their .HEIC images snapped right from their phone.
Feel free to ask me any questions about the latest releases.
