Post Submission Form - Convert to Blocks

How do I force the data I send to a post (via the Post Submission Form) to be saved as blocks by default - as opposed to in classic edit mode?

As things stand, after submitting a post via the form, I have to manually go into the post and select “Convert to Blocks”.

Surely there must be a way to do this at the time of saving the new post?

This blocked by WordPress and the Gutenberg project, which don’t currently have a PHP API for generating blocks from post content. See: Server side block conversion · Issue #27878 · WordPress/gutenberg · GitHub
