Same here, probably triggered since a very recent upgrade.
Verified timing here:
- all worked fine up to Nov 21
- today all submissions are marked as spam (we can’t verify in-between submissions)
Gravity_Forms\Gravity_Forms\Honeypot\GF_Honeypot_Handler::validate_honeypot(): Is version_hash input valid? false
=> there is no version_hash in the POST payload
It works when I deactivate hCaptcha for WP – WordPress plugin | WordPress.org, though that plugin hasn’t changed since Nov 21, I therefore suspect a change happened within a recent GF update.
Checked:
1/ caching is exactly the same with/without the hcaptcha plugin
2/ no js errors to be found
3/ no php errors or warnings to be found
4/ ALL submissions are being marked as spam when the honeypot is active
We could disable the honeypots, but since this is a setting the editors can re-enable by accident, we don’t want to bet on them staying deactivated.
