Is there a way to see what the field names are from looking at a gravity form page? For example, we are trying to build a query string that fills the default values and I am able to guess some of the field names, but others don’t seem to work.

To populate fields using a query string you need to configure dynamic population for the fields first.
During the configuration the parameter for each field is set by you in the field settings, so if you don’t remember a parameter, you will want to check your fields settings. It’s not possible to see this information from the front-end.
