Dropdown Placeholder

Hello I have a form with a required dropdown that is letting users submit an entry with the dropdown placeholder selected. I would like the placeholder text from the appearance tab of the dropdown to not be a valid input.

Strange. I can’t recreate this. When the field is required and the placeholder is selected, a validation error is returned as expected.

Are you seeing this same behavior on a new form/field?
