Can Gravity Forms map an "embed ID" from a form entry custom field to the created post of a different post type, via the feed, and what is the correct way to map it?

I assigned a hidden custom field to the form, let’s call that field “x” and dynamically populated its value with the “post embed ID” merge tag. And the value is showing correctly, and it’s stored in the entries.

I have also assigned a field to the post creation feed (the posts that are created from these entries, that have a different custom post type than of the posts where the forms are embedded) with a different name let’s call this field “y”, and I mapped to it the value of the “x” field.

But the “y” field is never created in the posts.
I wonder why?
