I am having the most bizarre issue with a gravity forms plug-in. I set up the form to calculate a total but when it sends the confirmation email to the customer, its doubling the total cost.
I’ve searched the calculation and the forum but I’m not seeing any issues that are similar.
The instructions for a total calculation indicates to use a product field, disable the quantity and add in the formula you need to calculate.
The strangest thing is, is that there is another form JUST like this one, and its totally fine. Any advise will be greatly appreciated.
This usually happens when the fields that are factoring into the calculation are also themselves product fields. The other form is likely set up so that either (1) the calculation is a standard number field and the fields included in calculation are products or (2) the calculation is a product and the fields included in the formula are standard number fields.
Ok, forgive me for my lack of knowledge of this. So if the total is a product field and its causing problems, how should it be set up so that it calculates correctly?
The total field is not causing problems. If you are using product fields in a calculated product field, the product field will be added to the form total twice. I recommend opening a support ticket and including your form export:
