Since the 2.5 update, Email notifications are showing up as broken html text in gmail.
I have already enabled legacy markup on the form setting same issue
Hi Abraham. The legacy markup setting affects the display on the website only, not the email notification format.
I have been using 2.5 since it was in beta and receive all my notifications at Gmail without any issue. This is likely being caused by something in your environment, either on the server, a plugin on the site, code in your theme, or an extension where you are checking the Gmail account.
I recommend checking for conflicts on the website first. You can check for conflicts on the site without affecting any site visitors, using the Health Check & Troubleshooting Plugin from WordPress.
