Hi,
I have a simple form (email and name) and it has a checkbox (" I agree to be contacted via email").
I would like the checkbox to be already ticked when the form is loaded.
I was hoping to solve this via the shortcode as I have very limited coding skills.

It’s easier than that, just click on the check mark icon at the left of the choice label, in the field “Edit Choices” screen. That will show the choice pre-selected.
Ah! I see what you mean. I was actually using the “yes/no consent checkbox" and not the multiple choices one. And it doesn’t have this option.
I will use the multiple-choice one now and just delete the other two choices! Thanks for the hint!
