Pre-populate file input field

Hii,
I am trying to make a custom edit screen where my entry details will be same as actual form. So i have achieved that by using GAPI. But now the problem is i cannot prepopulate the file input field, with its entry.
So is there any way i can pre-populate that any hooks or js.
Please suggest.
