I’ve just released Advanced Image Uploads for Gravity Forms, an independently developed add-on for forms that need a smoother multi-image upload and editing experience.
Instead of relying on a basic file input, it gives users a modern drag-and-drop uploader, responsive previews, browser-side image optimisation, and editing tools before submission.
What it includes
- Drag-and-drop selection, previews, and individual AJAX uploads
- Browser-side JPEG and PNG optimisation
- Crop, zoom, flip, undo, redo, reset, and 11 creative filters
- Animated GIF preservation—including frames, timing, looping, and transparency
- Responsive controls, conditional logic, and Gutenberg compatibility
- Entry thumbnails, structured galleries, and a responsive admin viewer
Animated GIFs are uploaded unchanged so they remain animated. Their editing controls are intentionally disabled to avoid flattening them into a static image.
