Split Resource — Tennis and Pickleball

I am using GP Bookings for Tennis courts. We are going to be offering Pickleball and will need to have it where people can reserve half of court 4 for Pickleball which should make the court ineligible for Tennis bookings. I was wondering if anyone has a way to do this, or if I can put in a feature request… If I could set the Service’s Capacity to override what the Resource of Court Capacity is, then that would work.

  • I could have Services “Tennis” with Capacity of 1, and “Pickleball” with Capacity of 2.
  • When Tennis Service is booked on Court 4, it would block Court 4 from Tennis and Pickleball.
  • If Pickleball is booked for Court 4 half 1, and/or Court 4 half 2, it would block Court 4 from Tennis.

Hey Dude,

This is a pretty interesting idea, and while we don’t have a super clean way of handling this yet (as of 1.0-beta-2.2), I can think of a few other use cases where this sort of dynamic capacity would be pretty handy.

I’ll be following up with you via our Support, and we can get this in as a feature request today!

Super cool idea. I have a sneaking suspicion this will be possible with a little snippet. Looking forward to digging in via support!

I was thinking.. If we could be able to select that a Service’s Capacity setting overrides what the Resource’s Capacity is set to. I could then configure half court bookings for Tennis and Pickleball Services by using the same Resource of Court 4.
