# Pagination not working after 2.9 update \[RESOLVED\]

Hi All

Has anyone else experienced that the pagination function for forms that have been working perfectly fine on previous versions now do not work on Ver2.9?

Any help or suggestions here would be appreciated.

I don’t have a caching plugin so I don’t think caching is the issue

I also created a test form with 3 fields and added pagination. It does not move from page to page on the new form either

I’ve responded to your support ticket about this issue. For others finding this topic, a JavaScript error was occurring because a custom script was being appended to the button onclick attribute without first checking if the existing script ends with a semicolon.

The recommended way to append a custom script to the onclick can be found here: [gform\_submit\_button - Gravity Forms Documentation](https://docs.gravityforms.com/gform_submit_button/#h-6-change-the-button-text-after-clicking-it)

That approach can also be used with the gform\_next\_button and gform\_previous\_button filters.

A fix for this issue is also included in the latest hotfix version available from the [downloads](https://www.gravityforms.com/my-account/downloads/) page. To update, follow the steps at [How to Manually Update Gravity Forms - Gravity Forms Documentation](https://docs.gravityforms.com/how-to-manually-update/)

Once updated, you’ll also need to clear/flush any caching and script optimization plugins and services the site may be using, as well as your browser cache.
