Had an issue with a notification not coming through. Finally managed to find it was due to a missing sender name? Not sure why, as that is not mandatory.
A) Why is this required and causing notification not to send.
B) Is there anyway to easily find this was the cause?
C) Is there anyway to get an alert on error like this? It is not a SMTP etc error but more with Gravity Forms.

As you rightly mentioned, the Sender Name field isn’t required and shouldn’t prevent the notification from being sent if it’s left blank. I suspect there may be another underlying cause of the issue.
I recommend enabling Gravity Forms logging on your site. This will capture detailed information about the form submission and should help identify the exact error causing the problem.
