Not What I Expected | Timestamp Field

Howdy!

A few findings concerning Gravity Forms’ Timestamp field:

(1) This field should be called “Date” not “Timestamp”. Timestamp includes both a date and time. This field does not offer that.

(2) When I implement the “Timestamp” field, the date field is not enclosed by a box like all other fields are (frontend) Details:

Please add the enclosure box and/or provide a CSS rule that will add it.

(3) The datepicker dropdowns (styling) is sub-par. Can you provide CSS rules that will allow us to restyle the dropdowns? Specifically, change the font size, change the width of the dropdown field, change the padding between the drowpdown selections, and decrease the width of the dropdown scrollbar (year field)

Thank you!

Hi Jonathan, The Timestamp field is not a core Gravity Forms field. It is added with custom code or via an add-on or other plugin.

For the suggestions for improving the datepicker styling, please submit those observations here:

Thank you.

Hi Chris,

Our website developer must have added the new Advanced Field.

Oh well, you have my input. Hopefully, you guys can replicate my finding and incorporate the suggestions. I have no time to submit this again.

The “Timestamp” advanced field will not be used on our website until it’s fixed.

Thank you. Happy New Year, amigo!

UPDATE (January 11, 2025): Please accept my apologies! We found a code snippet (added by our web developer) that changed all instances of “Date” to “Timestamp” (backend, all plugins). Issue fixed!
