New Plugin: Send server-side conversions to Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads & more

Hey Gravity Form’ers

My name is Aaron and I have built a couple of GF plugins in the past, but wanted to quickly show you guys Converly. A simple way to send server-side conversions to Google Ads, Meta Ads, etc.

As you can see from the screenshot above, setting it up is super easy. You just pick a Trigger (like a Gravity Form beign submitted) and then pick your actions (sending a conversion to Google Ads, Meta Ads, etc).

From there, it listens for Gravity form submissions, extracts the name, email, phone, etc., grabs browser data like the Google Click ID, Facebook Click ID, IP address, User Agent, etc., and then sends it all over to the ad platforms as a server-side conversion.

This combination of sending the conversion server side + getting the lead details and click ID’s enable syou to do Enhanced Conversions in Google Ads or will give you an Event Match Quality Score of 9+ in Meta.

Plus you get a full conversion log that shows what data was captured with each conversion, what was sent to each ad platform, whether it was successfully received or not, etc.

I’d love to hear any thoughts (particularly from agencies, web devs, marketers, etc) about whether this would be useful for you or not (and if not, why not). All feedback is a gift!

Aaron

Sounds promising! Questions:

  1. Is your plugin GDPR compliant?
  2. Does it help reduce workflows? If so, by how much?
  3. Does it offer an Analytics and Metrics Dashboard?
  4. Where can we find a demo (frontend/backend) of your plugin?

Thank you!

Hey Jonathan

Thanks for your interest!

Let me answer your questions individually:

1. GDPR
Yes, Converly works with Google Consent Move v2 and all the common cookie banner plugins like OneTrust, CookieYes, CookieBot, etc. to handle the cookie consent side of things. And we have DPA and the other documentation for being a ‘data processor’ and the technical machinery to protect data, not store longer than needed, delete ti when required, etc.

2. Replacing workflows

When you say reduce workflows, I’m not exactly sure what you mean by that. I guess if someone was manually uploading lists of form submissions to Google Ads, Meta Ads, etc then it would remove the need to do that.

For the most part, what it replaces is bad conversion tracking. Most people are doing conversion tracking by tracking thank you page visits or clicks of the form submit button or something like that. This has a number of issues (thank you pages can be visited without submitting a form, button clicks can overcount conversions if a required field is missing or something). Similarly, sending conversions via the browser is known to miss 30-50% of conversions due to ad blockers, iOS privacy restrictions, etc.

It replaces that by monitoring for actual successful form submissions in Gravity Forms, grabbing the lead’s name, email, phone, IP address, User Agent, the Google Click ID, etc. and then sending it all as a server-side conversion to Google Ads, Meta Ads, etc. so you ultimately have much more accurate conversion tracking.

3. Analytics and metrics dashboard
It’s not supposed to give you an analytics dashboard. It isn’t a reporting tool. It’s a better way to send conversions back to your existing analytics tools (i.e. Google Analytics) and ad platforms (i.e. Google Ads, Meta Ads, etc). You would then use the reporting features in those tools to be able to see how many conversions you got by channel, or campaign, or keyword, or ad or whatever.

4.Demo
Here’s a video on YouTube that shows how to use it to send conversions to Meta Ads (but it’s fundamentally the same for Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, etc). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1YHeiLSpAAo

Thanks, Aaron!
