# Is it possible to disable delete and update of entries on REST API?

The [REST API](https://docs.gravityforms.com/rest-api-v2) allows us to delete and update entries but I wonder if these can be disabled?

I just want to allow the creation of entries.

Hello. You can create a custom role, and ensure that role has only the capabilities you want to allow via the REST API. Then, you can assign your user that role and that user won’t have the ability to do anything you did not specifically allow.
