While I see that there is [a condition that can be posted within a shortcode](https://community.gravityforms.com/t/exclude-blank-fields-from-notifications-resolved/2288/4), I’d like to know how this can be accomplished within the Notifications? Or is this the same method? I have several “optional” fields and would like to not post them in the Notification if the user did not fill them out.

Thank you.

By default, if you’re using the {all\_fields} merge tag, empty fields are not included.

If you’re using individual fields merge tags to compose your own custom notification, then you can use conditional shortcodes as pointed in that other thread. Here’s the documentation: [Conditional Shortcode - Gravity Forms Documentation](https://docs.gravityforms.com/conditional-shortcode/)

Thank you. I did read that documentation and just want to make sure that it is viable in the Notifications.

Thank you, Samuel.
