# Entrie Sending Error

Hello

I’m getting this error when trying to send a form.  
WordPress was unable to send the notification email. Could not instantiate mail function.

This is the description of that error

> WordPress cannot send the email because, for some reason, the [PHPMailer class included in WordPress](https://github.com/WordPress/WordPress/blob/master/wp-includes/class-phpmailer.php) (used by the wp\_mail() function) can’t use the PHP mail function. Most of the time, this is caused by some restriction in your hosting (e.g. a spam filter was triggered on your server and the email was rejected).

You will need to contact the sending server (usually the hosting provider) for help troubleshooting this issue.
